Learn all about our friend Paco!

He is a pacu (aka colossoma brachypomus.)

He is from the characidae family. He is the cousin of the piranha.

Pacus come from the Amazon region in South America and also some places in Central America.

He swims in fresh water.

Paco can eat anything. Normally, he is an herbivore, but he will ear small fish or shrimp. He loooves treats like strawberries and bananas.

Believe it or not, Paco is almost THIRTY years old!!

Although is related to the piranha, Paco is naturally peaceful and friendly.

Come on downstairs when you're at the library; he loves visitors!!
