Peace at Long Pond, Tully Lake

During this pandemic, home has been a refuge with a porous border. To combat the isolation, the boundary of home expanded. A solitary kayak at Lake Tully led to peace and calm — the outside natural world became part of ‘home.’ We hike at Fitzgerald Lake Conservation, with its changing light and birds singing, and rejoice at our chosen home in western Massachusetts.
