Small Vessel Home II

Small Home Vessel II, 15″ round, clay

Welcome to experiencing the world through my spirit, through my hands.

Here at home, I am isolated both for Covid- and for auto-immune reasons – hence very seldom going out of this my home, but creating Small Vessel Homes through my hands by channeling Spirit through my body into my hands and into clay.

When I am moved and feel safe enough, often months later, I venture to my nurturing neighborhood studio (Cycle Pottery). This is my other ‘home’, this one peopled with beloved ones: only a few happen to be there, vaccinated and masked.
Alone in my home studio, I see the work of others only on computer now and again.
I am ever astonished by the authentic work in the Pottery I feel privileged to see.

Yet only for me, that home becomes alarmingly difficult – like breathing shards; squinting vision through a fog.
Forging ahead with glazing done, leaving vessels behind to be fired – – then always a surprise to handle the outcome of these Small Vessel Homes…some good, some not so much…
did I create these… ?

Grateful to have a home at all; full to overflowing, more: two … and then to create and see …
