\nI miss my old house
\nI miss my real mother
\nIt’s quite rare to fit in
\nEven more rare that I try
\nWhy bother getting comfy
\nJust to up & say goodbye
\nSadly, this story is far from unique
\nMost wards of the state’s lives
\nare also this Bleak
\nThere’s one thing that held me,
\nKept me tethered to Reality.
\nAnd that’s the escape of Reading
\nScience fiction (Ironically)
\nWherever that rude social worker placed me
\nMy real home could Always
\nBe found in my pages
\nA poem to dry each lonely tear,
\nA new fairytale to distract from Rages
