Online Chat discontinued

As of January 1, 2010 the Springfield City Library will no longer be participating in the MassAnswers/QuestionPoint 24/7 chat reference service. Many of the Regional Reference Centers throughout the Commonwealth (including Boston) are also ceasing participation, due to funding and staffing issues. Massachusetts libraries are exploring options for providing an alternate chat service but are unsure as to when this will debut.
