Welcome to the first episode of "Our Work and Why We Do It", an audio series from Forbes Library in Northampton, MA. In this first episode, I speak with Susan Stinson, author of the recently reissued "Martha Moody" from Small Beer Press.
Susan is also the author of the novels "Spider in a Tree", "Venus of Chalk" (a Lambda Literary Award finalist), "Fat Girl Dances with Rocks", and "Belly Songs", a collection of poetry and lyric essays. She has received the Duggins Outstanding Mid-Career Novelist Award from Lambda Literary Foundation. Born in Texas, raised in Colorado, she now lives in Northampton, Massachusetts, where she was Writer-in-Residence at Forbes Library. She has taught at Amherst College and offers writing coaching and editorial services. She is often found on Twitter or at susanstinson.net
