Most Massachusetts residents, including students, are entitled to a free library card1. If you already have a current library card from a qualifying public library in C/W MARS you may use your existing card to borrow materials at Forbes Library.
If you are not eligible for a free library card you may purchase a card for an annual fee of $35.
How to apply
You will require:
- A photo ID
- Proof of address
If possible, please ask for an application at the main desk. If you are unable to visit the library in person to obtain a library card, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 413-587-1017 to request an application be mailed.
You may also apply for a temporary library card online. Your temporary card will provide access to place holds, and online resources such as e-books, e-audio and databases.
Replacements for lost cards cost $2.
