Getting to the library during the pandemic has been difficult for readers of all ages and Forbes has worked hard to fill the need by offering a robust curbside pickup option and by expanding our Outreach Delivery Services. In addition to our Homebound Delivery Service and our As-Needed Delivery Service, we are excited to announce our Neighborhood Free Book Box Project.
In collaboration with Lilly Library, beautifully refurbished newspaper boxes will provide children, teens and adults access to free books in their neighborhoods. Boxes are replenished weekly by staff and volunteers, assuring that they remain neat, clean and easily accessible.
Businesses and organizations throughout Northampton, Leeds and Florence are invited to contact us about providing outdoor space on which to place a box. Patrons are encouraged to apply to replenish and care for one box each week.
