Here’s how to participate: Kids & Teens

    1. Sign up at the Children’s Desk–you’ll receive a Summer Reading log and a Summer Reading pencil.
    2. Color in a square on your log every time you read or are read to for 20 minutes or do one of the activities on the back of the log.
    3. Once you’ve colored in all of the squares, come back to the Children’s Desk to collect your prize: a free book to keep! You’ll also earn an entry into our raffle to win either a $50 gift card to High Five Books or a Kindle Fire 7!

Here’s how to participate: Adults

    1. Pick up a Summer Reading log at the Reference Desk (no sign-up necessary).
    2. Track Your Reading: Color in a square on your log every time you read or are read to for 20 minutes. Once you’ve colored in all of the squares, come back to the Reference Desk to collect your prize: a free book to keep! You’ll also earn raffle entries at the midway point (five hours) and end (ten hours).
    3. Complete a Summer Bingo: Cross out each activity you complete. Get a bingo (four in a row, vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) to earn a raffle entry, and a blackout (all 16 squares) for an additional entry.
    4. Complete either or both activities to earn up to four raffle entries at the Reference Desk. Raffle prizes include a $50 gift certificate to a local bookstore of your choosing, a set of two pool floaties, a water marbling kit, and a Paco prize pack (Paco shirt and socks). (Please note: voracious readers are welcome to complete an additional tracker for a second prize book, but raffle entries are limited to one tracker per person.)
