In 2020 we unveiled a new mural in the Children’s restroom, designed by the amazing local author and illustrator Jeff Mack. The mural depicts the five early literacy practices that are described in the Every Child Read to Read® program: Read, Write, Sing, Talk, and Play. These practices have been shown to help parents and other caregivers develop early literacy skills in children from birth to age five. A huge thank you to Jeff Mack, the Northampton Arts Council, and the Mass Cultural Council for making this mural possible!
