The Library’s Mission Forbes Library exists to provide a wide range of information and materials to all of the people of Northampton, using traditional and innovative technology, and to encourage…learning. According to 2010 U.S. Census data, Northampton was home to nearly 30,000 people. Because of the five colleges, there are a large number of students in the community who continually use the public library as their point of access for information.
